Service

I recognize that service is a critical part of my role as a professor. I believe my greatest strengths and contributions to the academic life are my interdisciplinary focus and my broad range of experiences through my academic career. In particular, I am laser focused on service my community by utilizing my leadership skills to contribute towards the development of others. Particularly, I feel I have strong emotional intelligence and generally concern myself with the well-being of others.

For me, service within and outside academia entails taking on leadership roles. As such, I have taken on several leadership roles, and thus have and/or will continue to shape the direction of these groups/organizations.
